I would say mega "church"/no Gospel. If I want to live a successful life, make lots of money, and be healthy, I don't need Jesus. I don't even need Joel. The selfless, sacrifical morality of Jesus would probably be more of an impediment toward this end, and Joel would just be a joke, which he already is in just about any rational estimation. Economically speaking, he produces nothing and is worthy of no monetary reward. He is rather a drain on the producing world, sucking up funds for his own hoarding from those who actually work for a living, while offering no spiritual benefit.
I mean, I don't know if Joel said anything "wrong" per se - but a sliver of truth presented as the core truth (when he must know better) counts as falsehood. What interested me some was something missed in both Joel and the captions - Jesus rose from the grave so that we could be "free". The captions said from sin, Joel said from unhappiness. What is interesting is that they both miss out on the cosmic overturn of the curse itself - death itself is defeated and God intends to make all things new. It's just so much bigger than you and your personal struggles - and yet Joel doesn't seem like he's interested in talking about that in a million sermons.
living a life trying to prove joel's wrong and your right is a waste of God's valuable time.Walk in his will the best you know and leave Gods Son to do the judgement. jay
Pronounced "fido", this blog is named in honor of sola fide and aims to stimulate a helpful conversation among Christians about life and doctrine. Enjoy.

The only good things about that vid were the green captions at the bottom and that smoooooooth talker's suit.
Is that spinning globe behind him the same one from Scarface?

I am glad the Reformers did not have jah's attitude -- which ignores much of what is in both Timothy's, Titus, Jude, Revelation, etc. etc.
